Observation

The provider has allergy plans for children with severe allergies but these plans do not include foods that can subsitute for allergenic foods. Dispute Description: Per the licensor’s comments, ALL children with allergies had an allergy plan; however, these plans didn’t include foods that would offer substitute options for allergenic foods. Since there is no cure for food allergies, we follow the basic rule: we avoid serving food allergens in our school. Since we do offer food to children in our care, we do not ask parents to bring any kind of substitute (unless they would like to do so); instead, during parent orientation, we offer parents a list of foods that we offer as a substitute from our kitchen. We can provide this list upon request (since I can’t provide attachments or screenshots).
